Question on Dining Plan prices with AP

I called today about adding the dining plan to our AP room only reservation. Our room only price is $536 for 5 nights at Pop. The prices given were $926 for QSD and $1086 for the regular dining plan. So $390/$550 diff. I calculated $355 and $515. What am I missing? Tax? or was I quoted wrong.

Thanks for any help.

The dining plan has to be part of a package. They are probably adding a 2 day base ticket per guest.

If you're an annual passholder, and you asked for an AP ticketless package, they should not be adding the price for a ticket. If that's what it is, call back, and make it clear you are an annual passholder and you want a ticketless package.

However, they will be making the reservation into a package, as once you add the dining it can no longer be a room only reservation. If your deposit was less than $200 they will charge you whatever it takes to get the deposit to $200. If you are within 45 days of arrival they will charge you the full balance.

I'm also not entirely up on package pricing as to how they add taxes and that sort of thing.

The posted prices for the dining plan ($51.54/person/night) already include tax, so that should not have accounted for the difference in the plan price.

However, when you converted from a room only to a package, you might had to pay more for the room on specific night if your original room only discounts were no longer available. I know when I was looking a while back at the BC and BW prices, some nights were more expensive than others because the AP discount had run out for those nights (usually weekends).

Looks like you priced out off-peak pricing, but you're being charged peak pricing. That should account for the difference, I think. That would seem to account for the difference in the DDP pricing... but can't figure out the QSDP difference...
You are 2 adults, and no children?

Yes 2 adults, no children. I haven't had a chance to call back and confirm the prices yet. Maybe tomorrow. I have been looking at menus and prices to see if it would benefit us or not.
