Question on DDE

Sorry if this has been covered before - Can we purchase the DDE card when we purchase our Annual Passes when we arrive at the resort? We will be purchasing the AP's in Downtown Disney. OR - are we out of luck this trip, as we can only get the DDE card prior to our visit? Thanks! We are "newbies" about this stuff! Going "home" for the 1st time to SSR in April!!

I think you can only get the DDE card by calling in advance. It take 6-8 weeks to get the card but they send an email or fax the same day you order it that you can use as proof. You also need to give the CM your AP number. (I'm not sure how they handle new AP's purchased through DVC)

You must order the DDE by phone. However, if you are arriving and purchasing your AP during the DDE business hours, you can call and order it when you arrive and they will fax a confirmation to your resort for you to use on that trip.

Thanks for the info! I was wondering about that too, since our APs expired in January, and we are buying new ones with the discount in December. We don't plan to purchase the APs until we arrive, so I was also wondering how we would get the DDE card.
