Question on DCA remodel.. when is it done?

Hi, i am trying to decide when to plan a trip to Cali - 2011 or 2012.
Isn't DCA going thru a remodel or something? When is this expected to be completed? Does anyone have a link to pics or drawings of the new park and what is new/vs/old?

When traveled out west back in 2008 - and got to go to DCA and DL, and i can't wait to go back -- i have such great memories as a kid from going there every other year.. now i get to take my dd..


I just want to make sure i don't go in the midst of heavy construction.. TIA!

DCA's construction is not going to be done all at once. It is currently under Phase 1 of some major construction. Within phase 1 there are many different projects.

Paradise Pier makeover-2010 (year supposed to be finished)
World of Color nighttime spectacular-2010
Buena Vista Street/new entrance-2011
Ariel's Undersea Adventure-2011
Carsland including a massive new E-ticket Radiator Springs Racers-2012

Then Phase 2 will begin, but those projects are unknown to the public now. However, chances are that if you go in 2012, there will be very little construction going on.

2011 or 2012 will be great times to go. I would go later in the year and pay attention to the link above regarding project completions in order to see the new stuff.
