question on crowds I need help please!!!

Hello,

We are planning to go to the World Dec 11-16 here is the deal. Our friends are going dec 17-21 they want us to change so we can be there with them at least some of the time. I want to know about the difference in the crowds. Last year we went the first week in Dec when Pop Warner was there(we are going 1 week later this year to avoid that not that they were bad) it was a little crowded but not bad at all. One night could not get into MGM. Are the crowd's really bad the week of Christmas and when do AP rates generally stop. I really need help. We might try to change just a couple of days to be there with them maybe 2 or 3 days (maybe Dec 14-19) just need some info from the professionals.

I haven't visited WDW during the holiday season myself, but I've read many, many reviews saying that it can get pretty crowded. As for the hotel rates, I checked the Disney website to see when holiday rates take effect. From what I could see, holiday season rates start on 12/20 (except for the Swan & Dolphin hotels-- they start their holiday season on 12/21). You might want to call the reservations 800# just to make sure, though.

If you decide to change your dates, my advice is to go from Dec. 14-19 as you had mentioned; that way, you can avoid the worst of the crowds and the increase in rates, while still enjoying some time with your friends. Have fun!
