:Pinkbounc I was reading the posts below about CBR. We will have our own car, but it sounds like the parking at MK is a little confusing. Did I understand someone to say that the best thing to do would be to park at Epcot and then take the Monorail directly to MK?

This is our first trip, and the last thing we want to do is lose the car...ha ha.

What exactly does the monorail "connect?"

TIA

I'm a little confused -- but that is nothing new. Are you staying at the CBR? Have you decided against bus service from the CBR in favor of your own car? If you parked at Epcot to go to MK, I think you would have wasted a bunch of time. You would have to drive and park at Epcot. Walk up to the monorail, take the monorail to the Ticket and Transportation Center, then get on either the MK monorail or take the boat from there. I am sure someone will correct me if I am wrong but I think the 15-20 minute bus ride from the CBR right to the front of the MK would be much more time efficient not to mention easier on the nerves. Or, you could park at the MK lot and just jot down where you parked. We make a game of it whenever we park the car in a lot at WDW. We do a quick character association with the letter and make a huge production out of memorizing it. We stay at the CBR lots and always use the busses unless we are going to the Boardwalk, another resort to eat or Downtown Disney. We would never drive to the MK.

I have stayed at CBR and our car just sat in the lot for the week. The only time we drove the car was to the Beach Club one evening for dinner. I found their transportatin to be very efficient. I would never drive to Epcot just to then take the monorial to Magic Kingdom (it would probably take you an hour to do that). I don't think you'll have a problem with the bus transportation. Especially if it's your first time, driving your own car could get confusing.

We always rent a car when staying at WDW. The parking at CBR is terrific and we drive to every park except for the MK. It's much more convenient to take the CBR bus directly to the main gate rather then parking at the TTC and then taking the monorail or ferry over to the main gate.

We like to park hop so we park at Epcot and see the park then take the monorail to MK.

I have been doing it that way for years. It might take a little longer but you get to see the sights of WDW.

We usually drive everywhere but like to take WDW transporation to MK.

We always rent a car and drive to the parks, this way if we want to go mini golfing or to a water park for a break during the day we can leave our stuff in the trunk and just go without returning to our hotel. When we want to visit Epcot after MK we park at Epcot, take the monorail to MK, then when we go back to Epcot and our day is over, our car is right there. IF you do not intend to go to Epcot it is easier to park at the TTC and take the monorail or ferry to the MK.
