So my use year is April. I need to bank any points by Nov. What I am wondering is we are considering going to Disney the beginning of Oct this year. I want to book so that we don't end up not being able to get what we want by waiting. We will probably have to borrow 57 points for the booking from next years points. What happens if we have to cancel? I believe we don't lose the points or have any penalty is this correct? Now I am also pretty sure once borrowed you can't push points back over so would we would have to use them by April 2013 even though they are technically 2013's points is this correct? Or since they are that years points they would still be good?

Borrowing is a final transaction. So if you borrow 2013 points into 2012 and then cancel the reservation, those points will expire at the end of your 2012 UY, which is March 31, 2013.

yep - if you cancel more than a month in advance, you can bank current pts used in the reservation forward to your 2013 UY, but any banked or borrowed pts will expire at the end of your 2012 UY.

You can bank or borrow any given point only one time.

When you bank or borrow, the points take on the UY of where you move them and they will be forfeited at the end of that UY.

Ok that's what I thought I just wanted to make sure. It looks like we have pretty well decided we will be going :)
