I was able to book a Mickey's Very Merry Christmas Party - Be Our Guest Restaurant dinner. Is this different than any other dinner at Be Our Guest (other than being during the Christmas Party)? We've never been able to get a dinner here and since we have tickets to 2 nights of the Christmas party, I don't mind using some of our time for this....but I want to make sure it is still the normal dinner menu and cost.

Thanks...
Jess

Honestly if you are going to the party after spending the money on tickets I would not miss party time at a restaurant. We always get an early dinner ADR for 4 something or 5 at the latest and are usually done around 6. I have heard with the changes to BOG it is not as good as before and the meal is taking longer.

Depends on how you "do" the party. We usually don't show up until close to 8 pm but stay until close so I might consider doing something like this (although we usually eat at a resort 6-8 pm; 4-5 pm is just way too early for my system). We like being there later at night with fewer young children so it works better for us to arrive later and then go non-stop for several hours. We are able to do a lot in the last 2 hours or so as the crowds thin out. We'd likely have to take a decent break mid-party if we arrived as soon as possible and stand in line at QS if we want to make it to the end so having TS dinner later and arriving later works well for us. I think it sounds kind of fun to do BOG dinner during the party. Maybe we'll try that next year.

No difference.
The distinction is to let non party goers know they cannot make an ADR during that time.
Cut off for non party guests is 6:10pm.

I totally agree with the post below.

No difference, and you would be paying the same fixed price for everyone in your party. You’ll also be missing out on party events in my opinion.

Thanks (thanks for all the responses)...

We have tickets to the party on both the 13th and 14th. Originally we weren't even landing until 7pm on the 13th. Now we are landing at 4pm and will probably be in the park on the 13th by 6:30pm. So all around, losing 90 minutes, on one of our two night, isn't a big deal. I still probably wouldn't book a dinner during the party (and I'm still not 100% decided on whether to keep it or not), but we have never been to BOG for dinner before. Normally we book a 4:30/5pm dinner at LTT on party nights.

If you haven’t been you should defiantly go. It’s such a cool restaurant and I’ve always enjoyed my meals there. I am going in a week and half for my first dinner since the menu change. If you still want to go and want to try to find a non party time you may want to look into the reservation finder at Tourning Plans. I found a lot of meals for my upcoming trip that I couldn’t get at 180 days out.

Are you saying you booked the party on your arrival day, which will not occur until 4PM? You are brave!

You do not say what time your ADR is, but be aware that the reports are that BOG is backed up quite a bit on party nights.

Yep... I actually booked the party originally when my arrival time was 7pm...landing at 4pm is a bonnus. That's why I also booked the party for the next night too. I am not worried about a 4pm arrival. We are 2 adults. I love the Christmas stuff and all, but honestly other than the parade and fireworks (and a couple snack stands), we are there for the rides, so I don't need to worry about hitting up shows or characters. We should land by 4 (SW is usually a little early), be at the resort by 5-5:30, hit up our concierge at Reunion Station and boat over to MK by 7pm at the latest.. No worries... I mean if flights are delayed obviously there could be an issue with this timeline but if that happens, we'll roll with it and know we have the party the next night.

If we decide to keep our BOG reservation and it is very backed up, we'll back out of our reservation. I know there is a cancelation fee but if they are really that backed up it won't take much to get Disney to waive that fee (speaking from experience). We'll have had a bite at concierge and if it doesn't work out at BOG and we get hungry, we'll grab a turkey leg or hit up a quick service.
