Question: meal at ohana's?

Hi,

We'd like to eat at Ohana on the day of our vow renewal. Has anyone had experience planning or having a wedding/vr meal there? Were they accommodating to your requests? We have some food allergies with our kids, and I may have our cake there. We don't book until June, but I'm wanting to make sure this is a good choice! Any advise or ideas welcome!

We had our meal there after our Swan wedding in 2005. Basically we booked it ourselves as a normal dining reservation. We were a group of 25 and I was told that we could choose the first seating (5pm) or the last seating (9:45ish) of the night with a big group. Our ceremony was at 5pm so that option was out. We took the last seating and honestly we weren't seated until after 10pm. That wasn't a problem though we made up the time at the bar!
We were seated at the long table in the middle of the restaurant. It was so fun and we closed the place down! We didn't have any special requests but I don't think that would be a concern. I know Ohana' goes out of their way (as do all WDW restaurants) to accommodate special needs.

I've just gone and read about your VR and you should definitley go and plan Ohana! Have fun and please post pics!

Thank you! This is really helpful. I will be on a bit of a time constraint, since it is before the VR instead of after... so that is a concern for me... but your experience is really helpful! I wonder what time they open if I can get the first spot. I was going to call them today, but I'm sick and have very little voice so it will have to wait another day or two. I'll post and let you know what they say!

I actually really want a cake at breakfast now that we're probably doing disney stuff in the morning not evening, I'm not sure if they can make it, or if I'll have to get it from the GF or what. I'm not sure what is available at all... I'll post when I do know something. I know my kids would LOVE to see stitch, too.

And, I will DEFINITELY post VR pics!! Thanks for reading the PJ, too
