We have a DCL Alaska cruise booked for May 2021. It was booked on gold opening day in February. We are not PIF and do not plan to become PIF.
We do not plan on sailing even if the ship sails [which we don't think it will do], but plan to move the cruise to Alaska in May 2022. But those cruises will probably not be available to book until late February or into March.
If DCL cancels the cruise before the summer 2022 cruises are available, will they give us the option to move our deposit to another cruise instead of refunding it to us ??
If they refund it we will lose money due to exchange rate differences and fees [we're Canadian], and would prefer to move the deposit to another cruise even if we have to put it into a dummy cruise.
Also, the cruise is booked with an OBB discount that we want to preserve for the May 2022 booking.
I'm willing to preemptively move it to a dummy cruise, but would rather try waiting until DCL releases the summer 2022 itineraries so we only have to move it once. Really wish DCL would let us move it online ;-)
Thanks !
