Hi This has probably been asked before but here goes.
We have two different ressie for two DVC's with DDP. The day we check out of SSR we still have DDP and that is the same day we check into BCV and they start us on another separate dining plan. How do they handle that?? We don't want to pay twice for the same day. I know that sounds really stupid :sad2: but just wondering if anyone has encountered this before. Thanks for any advice.

I had the same question. We are staying 13 night over Christmas and the packages can't exceed 10 days. TA booked one 10 night and 13 night. I meant to ask the TA about the overlap and forgot to.

DDP is per night, not day, so no worries.

The credits are avaliable from check-in to midnight the day you check out, so just be sure to use up your credits from your first stay by then.

My understanding is that you receive dining plan credits for each night that you are a guest. It shouldn't matter that you're switching hotels - staying in the same hotel for the entire time would result in the same # of credits. On your final check-out day, if you have credits left, you still have the remainder of that day to use them up before they expire.

Just a clarification. Your credits will not carry over to your next stay. So the person staying 10 nights and 3 nights to equal 13 must be sure that the credits from the first portion are used up the day you check out and back in, even if they link the ressies so you do not have to change rooms. Same goes for the person with a 1 night stay.

Also, so people reading this do not get confussed by the 1 night on the DDP, that is a DVC stay. For regular resort packages I am pretty sure you need to have at least 3 nights.

HaleyB has it right--your credits are per Night, not Day, even though you may use them on the day of check in and they expire at midnight on the day of check out.

So, when you check out of SSR, you will have till midnight that night to use any remaining credits on that reservation. If you have extra credits, you might want to use them to get snack items to stock your resort, sandwiches to put in the fridge, or whatever. Your credits from BCV CAN be used as soon as you check in, but you don't want to start using those (on that day) until you have used up your SSR credits. The SSR credits will expire at midnight, and the BCV credits will be good until midnight of the day you check out from that resort.

You can use snack credits to get things like a box of donuts, a quart of milk, etc. that you might want to have in the villa. If you have CS, you can get sandwiches from Earl of Sandwich or something from the marketplace area and put it in your fridge for a midnight snack. Since you have a fridge in the villa and you can get the food in quickly, it is much safer than leftovers carried home from the parks. Your KTTW card from SSR will remain valid for the DDP until midnight of that night. There have been reports of people having problems with cancelled cards, but we certainly didn't have any problem.

Thank you everyone for your prompt response. I understand the concept now. :thumbsup2 Looking forward to our first ever trip to our DVC :Pinkbounc :Pinkbounc and also trying DDP for the first time. Thanks Again!

Thanks guys! As always, I am getting better information here than from the TA.
