Question from DD5: Watermelon on the Beach?

Hi, all! I've been sent by my five-year-old to ask a question.

We were talking about our upcoming cruise on the way to school today; she specifically asked about fruit on the ship (she loves fruit) and I told her that the buffet would have all kinds. Then we were talking about the beach on the private island and she asked, "Can I have watermelon on the beach?"

So: does anyone know if they serve watermelon anywhere on Castaway Cay, such as a lunch barbecue?

Thanks in advance from an excited little girl. :cutie:

I seem to recall that there was watermelon at CC at the bbq, at least at Serenity Bay they did so I would assume Cookie's has it at the family section. I'm not a big dessert person so I like to have fruit instead and watermelon is a favourite of mine too especially when it's hot.

I would not guarantee there would be watermelon, as supplies may vary, but there is a very high likelihood.

I know at Cookies BBQ there is a fresh fruit stand separate from the buffet. They have whole fruits and sliced fruits there. I don’t know if there is also a fruit stand at Cookies Too.

There is a fresh fruit station just outside of Cookies BBQ. I did see an employee at that stand who was slicing up whole, fresh watermelons.

This would literally be the best thing that ever happened to my kid. She would love it so much! Fruit + beach = happy DD.

DS loves fruit too. That was his dessert every night. We were on the Fantasy last week and the fruit I remember having/seeing were watermelon, mango, melon, cantaloupe, papaya, grapes, kiwi, pineapple, bananas, and apples. I would go to Daisy's De-Lites and ask for 10 slices of watermelon, always got kind of a weird look. There is also a whole fruit station at Cabanas that you can ask them to cut the fruit up.

The variety was a lot better than when we sailed the Magic a couple years ago late November, so it may be a seasonal thing.
