Hello All,
First off, I frequent the boards often and find such a wealth of info from all you vets! Thank you! We are going to WL next month, we have a courtyard view room reserved. Today I called Disney (had a rather rude CM which has never happened before to me) to inquire about the upgrade to concierge would be and see if we could swing it. To my surprise the concierge level is booked up as well as the suites. I found it surprising, I thought the first week in Feb is rather slow. Does it sound right, or should I call back and talk to another CM?

i would call back - every couple of days - depending on some schools winter breaks - wl may be booked - but a lot of times it's just the timing on when someone changes their reservation and you may get concierge - so it doesn't hurt to check - enjoy

We will be at WL Feb 4th to the 13th. Yes, the WL does appear to be quite full that week. We are having a Magical Gathering of about 30 people. Our children are out for Mardi Gras that week. When we first started checking around the Contemporary was also quite full. We decided on the WL because it was the most affordable for our overall group (we are all either AP holders or AAA members so we got some good rates). I think the WL has just gotten more popular over the last few years. The proximity to MK and the beautiful building and grounds make it a great choice. I am still hoping that the crowds will only be nominal... but even if it is crowded we will be at the "House of Mouse"!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I can't wait! :Pinkbounc

HI, and first let me say WELCOME to the DIS

While most all of the CM are wonderful everyone has encountered a CM that might not be having a very good day. You may certainly call back to check again for concierge, remember that you may also ask for the upgrade at check-in if it is available you should be able to recieve it for an additional $40.00-$50.00 a night if staying in a Courtyard View.

The Wilderness Lodge is a wonderful resort and I'm sure you will have a MAGICAL TRIP While staying in a Courtyard View (non-concierge) my favorite rooms are located on the 4th floor and open to the lobby. Some say the noise from WCC and the Lobby have disturbed them I have never had a problem with any noise.

I tried to snag WL-CL two weeks ago for 2/1-2/4 and was told it was booked too.

Also, there is a thread somewhere here from the past week that says that WL no longer does a reduced upgrade to CL; if you ask, they will quote you the rack rate. Take that with a grain of salt, of course, just an FYI. Can't hurt to ask, eh? :wizard:

Is that true? That is all an upgrade to concierge would cost? Is it per night or per person per night? Thank you.

When I was at the Lodge Dec 18th I was quoted $50.00 per night to upgrade to concierige. I had booked a Courtyard View...I asked the CM about the other Views and was told that a Standard View would be $70.00 extra per night, and Woods View would be $60.00 a night. I also think the price is effected by what SEASON it is. The charge is per night per room (not per person)
