Why did Shane tell Rick's wife he was dead? did he truly believe he was dead?
or was he being deceitful on purpose?

that threw me a bit when she said that last night

IMO- Shane told Rick's wife that he was dead because he probably knew she would never leave if she knew he was still alive, I think it was to protect her although I think she thinks it was more malicious. I have nothing to base this on, it's just my opinion.

This was definitely on purpose. Shane wanted Lori badly and this was evidenced by the fact that Shane did not look too happy to see Rick stroll into camp.

Then Shane took out his frustration by beating Ed to within an inch of his life.

yeah he looked mixed up to me. like in a way glad Rick is alive, but not happy because he loses Lori.

will be interesting when Rick finds out what Shane and Lori were up to before he came back.:rolleyes1

how did the people turn into zombies.? missed that part...

Agreed :thumbsup2

I really love this show - but have to tape it as it comes on too late in my timezone (11pm)

hubby INSISTS that they were having an affair before the zombie thing. I told him he is nutz.

but I do think he lied to the wife about Rick being dead. I think he kenw he was alive all along, and wanted the wife for himself.

when I told hubby this, he siad, "well , shw sure didn't grieve very long!"

hmmmm, that could be. I think in one scene with rick and shane isn't rick talking about problems they are having? I think I remember that.
LOL, my dh said the same thing about her grieving time LOL

So did everyone watch last night! Good episode. I won't say any spoilers.
but I can't wait til next week, and I hope AMC brings this show back:thumbsup2

I haven't watched last nights episode yet. Love the show, but for some reason I have nightmares EVERY time I watch. I am not a nightmare kind of girl... I don't know why this show freaks me out. Very odd. So hubby and I decided to put off watching last nights episode until he gets home from work today so that there would be a few hours in between watching and going to sleep... hope that kills the nightmare issue.

If the TV series follows the comics (and it hasn't been true 100%), then they weren't having an affair before the zombie attacks. In fact, Shane and Lori weren't even having an ongoing affair while in the camp before Rick showed up...it was a sort of a one night stand thing and Lori regretted it/felt taken advantage of.

Shane was also very, very angry that Rick showed back up in the comic series. He was happy his friend was alive, but like others said, he wanted Lori for himself.

I just finished the 3rd book of the 6 hardcover trade paperback series and I was basically like this throughout it: :eek::scared1::sad2: Great storyline but dang, it makes you sad and angry all at the same time!
