I just got off with Mears, must have been on with all of their divisions because I was transfered a number of times to different places. I started with the shuttle, then a cab, then another cab place. They couldn't garantee me a cab back to my resort because me and my sister are in ECV's and shuttle said that they run that late and could pick us up, but said they don't do runs from resort to resort only to attraction to resort or visa versa. Anyhow, to make a long story short....

My problem is that me and my sister (we are in ECV's) and our aide will be at the Swan for kareoke night and will be there rather late. After I got off with Mears, I figured I'd call CSR to see what they had to say. They told me that the last bus from DTD leaves at 2 a.m. and that I wouldn't have no problem catching a bus from the swan to get to DTD that late at night and from there back to CSR.

Can I trust that there will be a bus that late from DTD back to CSR? I don't want to get stranded.

Thanks,

Joy

Well Joy, I'm not Tyler, but in my experience, if the Disney Transportation ppl tell you they can take care of you, then they will take care of you. I can certainly understand your trepidation tho. I expect a wheelchair accessible cab could handle one ECV, but with two, you might end up having to do two cabs. DS's pediatric wheelchair fits great in the accessible cabs, and I expect they can handle an ECV as cargo (you ride in the seat), but only one of them. Best to see if you can do the trip by Disney Bus (or leave a little early from Karaoke night to be on the safe side).

Let's hope our
purple pants friend Tyler weighs in on this one.

Good luck Joy!

thanks pumkinboy for the info.

Another concern has now come about after your comments. And that is when you said that an ECV could be able to go into one cab, but as storage. Me and my sister are unable to walk, so this would be a chore to accomplish that task.

Hmm...

This is what I would recommend:

Be out at the bus stop no later than 1am. If you see a bus marked "SPECIAL" go up to it and ask the driver... they can call the dispatcher to make sure that a bus comes around to pick you up.

When boarding, make sure to let the driver know that you need to get to Coronado. Chances are, the driver might be able to call the dispatcher and ask if they can take you directly, if no other guests are on board.

Thanks Tyler,

We'll give it a go. You purpled pants guys won't leave us stranded there will you? LOL
