I have electronic tickets from Delta for a trip at the end of May. I recently received a phone call saying that my itinerary was changed. For the heck of it I decided to check the Delta website to make sure I heard the times and new flight numbers correctly. My flights show up on the web for the trip to Savannah. My flight numbers returning form Savannah are nowhere to be found. However, when I call Delta they confirm that I am on these same flight numbers that do not seem to exist on their website. Has this happened to anyone else? Will I be assigned a whole new itinerary at the last minute with times that I may not want? Delta has no explanation for me why the flights for the return part of my trip do not show up? I wonder if I am on a phantom flight that they are floating around until they determine whether there are enough people to justify having the flight at all. If my return flights don't appear for people to book on the internet - I wonder if Delta intends to have this flight at all. What do you think? Any help would be appreciated.

I have seen times when the online flights/times don't exactly match the information I was given over the phone. Last year with Midway Airlines, the times were wrong online and they never changed to the correct times. Recently with US Airways, they moved me to a different flight so I checked it online. It didn't synch with the phone info I was given. I called back and the phone flight time had been wrong, and something was wrong with the online info too, but I can't remember what. Over a day or two, the online info was corrected.

I'd go with what they told me on the phone but make sure you get the info corroborated with a few Delta folks. This does happen and it's even harder to deal with when you have etickets. It does make one feel uneasy.

If you have a travel agent you might want to spring for whatever the fee is they would charge you to get corroboration directly off of the SABRE system.

Just out of curiousity did you check other sites? Orbitz is a good cross check. Maybe your return flight is on a Delta affiliate.

The flights that Delta had listed were nowhere close to the ones I had as far as the time or the flight numbers so this wasn't a case of information that was slightly different that what was published on the web. I called Delta twice and was given the same information twice over the phone only t find it non-existent on Delta's website. I wonder if Delta removes flights from the web when they have been sold out. Perhaps this is the answer to my question, but the ticket agents at Delta did not state this when I spoke to them. Seems like there is a big gap between the left hand and the right hand at Delta as far as knowing what is going on between website sales and phone sales.
I don't have an agent I bought the tickets myself over Deltas website. I have flown with "afiliates" of airlines beofre and the information stating the carrier was an afiliate has always been posted so I could recognize this fact. This was with airlines other than Delta however. I will check Orbitz ad travelocity to see what comes up there. Thanks.

Orbitz had the info on my flights with Delta that Delta's own website wouldn't show!
I guess a good travel agent could be a valuable asset in this very confusing world of airline
ticket games!
