For those of you with mini-dvd camcorders....we just bought a new Sony one...it records in digital surround sound. It is SO cool! We recorded my DDs birthday, and it sounded like everyone was in the room when we watched the video. Anyway, now I am so excited to take videos in Disney....not sure how many little dvds to buy though..they only record 30 min each. I'm thinking 3/day. Is that too much? Not enough? How many do you go through on a trip.

Hi,

After some trips, we decided that one 30-minute film of each place is enough. In previous trips, we filmed more than this and , sometimes, it was boring :pug: to watch.

Last time we did one 30 minute VHS for each of the following :

1) MK
2) Epcot
3) MGM
4) AK
5) Best Moments of Wishes + Fantasmic + Epcot Show
6) Downtown Disney
7) Plane + Airport + coming to Hotel and some takes of Orlando
8) USF
9) IOA
10) SW

But this is just our opinion ... :goodvibes

Minnie, not to hijack your thread, but could I ask which model you purchased? I was looking at the Sony's since I liked the way it fit in my hand, and want a mini-DVD one. Sounds like you're happy with the one you chose!

madgomez - sure...we got the
Sony 3.0MP Handycam DVD Camcorder with 2.7" SwivelScreen Touch-Panel LCD Monitor
Model: DCR-DVD403

I watched Best Buy weekly for sales, and we got it at $100 off (usually its $50 off). I really like it! Its so tiny and easy to use and the best part is that it records in surround sound! Its more expensive because of that, but I think its worth it.

Minnie, thanks for the info - that's a little better model than what I was looking at, but the extra feature sounds like it might be worth it! I'll take a look at it! Thanks again.

I agree that too much filming results in very boring footage! In fact, I go LESS than 1 disc per park. Two parks per disc has worked well for me.
