question for those with Directv

How many receivers do you have? We currently have 4 and at some point we'll want to get tvs for the kids in their bedrooms, which means we'll have 6. At $5 each per month, that just seems crazy that it would be an extra $30 per month. Does anyone have this many receivers? Do they give you a discount if you have a large number? Thanks!

We have 4 but 2 are on 1 TV.

Family Room TV has DVR receiver and HD receiver.
Living Room TV has HD receiver.
Master Bedroom TV has regular receiver.

We also have a TV in our computer room. We just have that plugged into the jack in the wall. It shows whatever is on our "main" receiver which is the DVR receiver in the family room. We used to pay for a receiver in this room, but hardly ever used it so we cancelled it and just do it this way.

We have one tivo box and 2 regular receivers.. We had to limit ourselves just because of the extra costs.... It is sad isn't it

We had 6 with no discount so we cancelled 2 and ran a coax cable from another to the kids bedrooms. Then we got remote extenders since they don't watch tv in their rooms that much.

and Yeah right on the discount. No they don't give you a discount.

We have 3 receivers right now and the only discount we get is a credit of 4.99 for the main receiver.

A bit off topic but.......my DH just called Directv to change how our billing is set up and the woman asked "Is there anything else I can help you with today?" And DH says "Yeah how about a discount?" She says, "Sure. I can give you a $5 credit on your next 3 months bills." It doesn't ever hurt to ask, huh?
