Question for those who have stayed in Poly studios

Is the bed area cramped and smaller than standard room areas at Poly? Looking at the pictures, it looks a little small there. It's hard to tell from pictures. I know there is a place to sleep for everyone in a 5-person party but is that room area small? I guess not so much a concern when the pull out bed is put away, but still a little hesitant.

Some people think the living space is bigger, some don't. I don't know that there's any debate that the storage space is more favorable in a Standard room unless you stow stuff in the second shower. (Maybe there is debate and I've not seen it.)

We have had 5 adults in the room, hanging out, eating room service dinner, watching a game, have drinks and snacks. I thought it was more comfortable than a regular room for those activities since there is a couch that faces the tv and room for 5 to eat with a table surface. It didn't feel tight, felt cozy. I'm not sure I'd like having 5 adults sleep in a studio but would do it if I didn't have an alternative.

Before these rooms were converted to DVC studios, they were the largest of all the Polynesian rooms. When they did the conversion, they took a lot of the living space and converted it to bathroom space to get in the full bathroom and the separate shower room. There used to be a lot of space next to the beds with a round table at the patio door. Now it is much tighter. There is almost no drawer space in the studios. Two small drawers under the single queen bed, drawers on the night stand, drawers in the bathroom.

I stayed in one in May with 2 friends, it was very comfortable. Having the split bathroom was good when getting ready. I think it works better than 2 queens, with the sofa bed folded up during the day.

I stayed at the Poly in 1996 with my mom and wasn't that impressed. I really enjoyed it this time.
