We will be arriving Friday evening after Thanksgiving. How bad will it be Saturday and Sunday???

Friday evening and Saturday will be very busy. I can't speak for Sunday. We generally fly out on Saturday afternoon/evening.

I was there on thanksgiving once, The couple days after were busy. A lot of people flowed out after thanksgiving weekend I thought it was great once sunday afternoon came around. I was there until friday and it was light all that week.

:bounce: We're going then also, from Friday the 26th to Sunday, Dec 5th! :bounce:

It should start to quiet down on Sunday as people pack up and leave... then it will be nice and quiet (lol).

We are planning a no-park day on arrival day, doing Hoop de Doo at 5pm, then maybe a carriage ride afterwards. Saturday we are doing AK, my thinking being everyone else will be at MK for their last day and Spectro! Saturday night we might try Osborne lights, if the weather is nice. Sunday is MK day... maybe. Unless all the people leaving Sunday are hitting EMH at MK that morning!! We have the Family Magic Tour in the morning, so we won't be dealing with crowds after 9am anyways.

Have fun!!!

We arrive on the 26th also. We plan to take it easy and enjoy the resort on Friday and Saturday. I think a majority of the crowds will be leaving on Sunday.

I hope to see you there!

Lori

I arrived the day after thanksgiving last year and don't remember the weekend being overly crowded. The week after was really nice. I would do it again. Susan

We arrived on Thanksgiving last year. The limo driver told us to stay clear of Magic Kingdom on that day. I don't remember the parks being unbareable though I did plan tours for Friday and Saturday morning since I figured that would be a way to get around the crowds. You could tell that many people were leaving on Sunday. The week that followed was fabulous!

We will also be in WDW during November 26 (day after Thanksgiving) through December 5.
We plan on not hitting the parks on Friday and Saturday and starting our first park day on Sunday. We plan on eating an early dinner at Ohana on Friday and spending the evening touring the resorts or at DTD or Boardwalk. Saturday we will do late lunch/early dinner at Chef Mickeys, ride the monorail and maybe tour the resorts, DTD or Boardwalk

Has anyone been to MK on Thanksgiving Day? Isn't there a special parade with stars in it and stuff? We'd like to go see it but wondering how busy it will be.

We arrived the Friday after Thanksgiving as well last year and didn't find the parks bad at all. We did AK on Saturday and got right through without much wait and EPCOT on Sunday morning then over to MK for MVMCP and had no trouble again with crowds. Only cold weather LOL!

For those of you who arrive the Friday or Saturday after Thanksgiving...I think those sound like the perfect days to arrive, but aren't resort rates higher then? I was thinking that if I waited to arrive on, say, Tuesday, though it isn't my "ideal" day it would save money. ???

Actually Thanksgiving week is still considered Value season. And, last year the special packages they offered included the Friday or Saturday after Thanksgiving through just before Christmas. So even when the discounts come out we should be okay.

Thank you. I see why I was figuring that wrong...I'm not going until next year and they've changed the seasons for next year...value season for 2005 won't start until the Sunday after Thanksgiving. :(

I do not remember any special parades. On 2 separate trips, they were filming portions of the Christmas parade...

WDW is gorgeous since most of the Christmas decorations will be up.
