Question for those who have done CP

My son was accepted and will be doing the Spring Advantage. Originally we were going to drive down, but got great airfare, so we'll be flying instead. My question to those who have flown and brought a computer with them - how did you go about doing this? Did you pack it really well and check it? Did you have it shipped to you after you were settled in? Helpful hints would be greatly appreciated!

are you talking about a Computer or a laptop. if its a computer. I would think it would be to much of a hassle. But a laptop i would carry on. But i would never check either one of these items. things tend to disapear like this at airports and no matter how you pack it, they can always inspect it and not pack it as well as you did. I wouldn't risk that.

Not a laptop - we'll probably figure out how to get it on as carry on (it's size is OK) - he's into photography and wants to have his computer for saving his pics and his photo editing programs.

you could always mail it to him. Both complexes have package rooms to hold on to...they notify you when you have a package.

If you can stand to wait a few days until he settles in, he can give you the mailing info.
