It looks like Springs is the place to be if you want Main Pool area, can some one give me distance/time from both Springs and Congress Areas to Main Pool?

Opinions on which one you thought was better, especially for family of 4, kids 3 and 7.

Thanks

Hi! We stayed in the last building in Congress Park closest to DD. It was quite a hike up to the Main Pool area (about a 10 min. or so (hot) walk)- we did it once and then decided to stay down at the quiet pool or took the bus up to the Main pool! We LOVED our studio room- great view of DD/Pleasure Island and perfect view of the nightly midnight fireworks! We had two teen girls (lazy) with us who were just as happy hanging out by the quiet pool and were not too interested in going up to the Main pool! On our last day we took a bus (any bus will stop up at the Springs section) and hung out up there and ate at Artists Pallette. It was ok, but much noisier and more crowded than down at the quiet pool!

With your little ones, they may be interested in the Donald spray kids area at the Main pool - so you may opt to stay in the Springs section and be closer to the Main pool/restaurant and store. The Springs section is very close to the Main pool (across the street), but you don't get the DD views. Good Luck! Whatever you choose- Hope you enjoy SSR! We are going back in Feb. bringing the in-laws and 2 teens (sigh). We have requested Congress Park and DD view again - we love to take the walkway over to DD and eat at the Earl of Sandwich!

I stayed at the first Congress Park building, just across the bridge, and it took no more than 5 minutes to walk it. I thought it was a pleasant walk to the pool, and my one bedroom was terrific! We had a clear view of Cirque du Soleil and House of Blues. Of course, I thought the walk to the shopping village was pleasant, too, after just having had a surgerical hysterectomy and gall bladder surgeries a couple of weeks before that, yet others have complained about the length of the walk, so go figure. Maybe the vicadin made a difference...

I have no dought that the vicadin made a difference. If that's what it takes after 2 surgerys then more power to you. I'm glad you enjoyed Congress Park, hopefully we will get that building when we go in Oct.

We stayed in the Springs and were basically right across the road from the main pool. It took just a couple of minutes to walk over there. Right next to the bus stop as well. ::MickeyMo ::MickeyMo
