We booked our seats on line a couple of months ago. All I ever received on them was what I printed out at the time of purchase. Do we just take that along and print out tickets at the airport? With Delta we would print our tickets at a kiosk at the airport. Just wanted to make sure Airtran was the same. Thanks

You don't have 'tickets', you have e-tickets. All you actually need is your identification. Yes, you can print out and bring the confirmation to the airport, but that's not absolutely necessary.

Just for general information: The paperwork you print out at any airline's self-check kiosk, or get when you check in online during the period designated by the airline, or from the customer service rep at the front counter (vs. the gate agent) is your boarding pass, not your ticket.

I fly AirTran all the time. You have three options for checking in and getting boarding passes.

First, up to 24 hours in advance, you can check in online and print your boarding passes from the comfort of your own home. If you need to check baggage, however, you will still need to queue up at the airport.

Second, at least at my airport, they have checkin kiosks with an AirTran employee hovering to help take care of baggage tagging, etc.

Third, you can stand in a traditional queue and have an AirTran ticket agent check you in.

In all three scenarios, you don't need a copy of your original confirmation. Although, it probably wouldn't hurt...just in case of some kind of computer snafu.

This year we're flying down on Airtran and we plan on doing the same things we did in the past. popcorn::
In the past with American Airlines and Song/Delta we printed our confirm/tickets with the BAR CODE attached at home. :teacher:
We took a cab to Boston's logan Airport and got dropped off at the terminal entrance/curb side check-in.
We showed our tickets to the curb side agent, he flashed the BAR CODE on his screen, printed the Luggage tags, tagged our luggage and took the luggage. :upsidedow
We went into the Airport terminal and did the security/TSA dance at the gate entrance showing our tickets and Identification (my daughter was 4 and 5 so she didn't need any Identification).
We checked-in at the gate counter, went over to the Sam Adams counter had a couple of beers and waited for the flight. :scared:
We left our house at about 2:00pm and we were sitting at the Sam Adams counter at about 2:45pm. :sad1:
Good luck all,
Joe
