Question for those of you who used Disney photography....

My best friend is a professional photographer. She sits down with her brides (and grooms) before the wedding to talk about what kind of feel they're hoping for, what shots are a must, etc. They go over the day's photog schedule in detail, brainstorm, troubleshoot, and by the end she feels she has a good handle on the couple's expectations and desires, and all involved have gotten to know each other a little bit. I think most photographers do this.

Do Disney photographers do something similar? If so, when?

No. If you wanted to spend the first 5 or 10 minutes of your shooting time with them discussing this, I'm sure they wouldn't mind, but because Disney can't confirm which photographer(s) you'll get until a few days before the event, there is no time to develop a working relationship with yours prior to the event.

There is a shot list that we got to provide to our disney photog when we thought we were going to use them. We ended up using Misty Miotto instead, and we did have that kind of call a week before our event. They sent us a packet to fill out asking for preferred shots and any family history they should be aware of (like don't take pictures of X and Y together), and then Misty's husband and partner Nelio and I went through it all along with timing the week before our event

I'm getting married in Nov and know who my Disney photographer is. It's confirmed on my BEO for my wedding and park shoots. I have a call with her next week to go over shots we want to have.

Make sure you keep a copy of what you want, as there are times where an emergency change can result in you having a different photog on the day.

We had a short phone call with Cricket about a month before the wedding. We mostly discussed the photo shot list that we had been asked to fill out.

I'm an Escape bride. My planner asked me if there were any specific shots that I was looking for from the photographer, so I listed them out (SBP / Boardwalk):
