Question for those in the New Orleans area.

I am leaving to NO tomorrow.
I only drink water and we plan on stocking up on bottled water when we get down there. But how is the water in restaurants? Should I bring bottled with me, do they filter, or is the city water fine and I don't have to worry?

City water is treated, so it's fine. Health department wouldn't let the restaurants operate if it were questionable.

Bring your bottled water if you have an odd brand preference. If you're still concerned, you should be able to request bottled in most restaurants.
