Hi guys, I was wondering if you, as a man, would be embarrassed by receiving flowers at work on Valentine's Day. Or, would you like it? My DH is over in England without me for the time being and I would like to do something nice for him. We were only married back in December and have been apart since Christmas Day. We were hoping to be together by the 14th but it doesnt look like the paper work will come through in time.:sad1:

Kinda depends...if he works with a lot of women, probably not. But if he works with a lot of guys he'll probably take a ribbing.

If he does work with a bunch of dawgs, try some sort of "food" bouquet. I.e. cookies, candy....beer. :teeth:

Flowers? No. What Herc suggested? Yes. Or tickets to a football/soccer match of his favorite team, if he has one.

I wouldn't see anything wrong with flowers or the other suggestions that was made.

Nothing evil about sending flowers - but it won't be properly appreciated.

Yes and what Herc says. Guys dont give a rip about flowers. I would ditch that idea and buy either food, chocolate, pizza, lobster, shrimp or tickets to a sports event, or something he can use. Giving flowers to a guy is about as useful as giving plastic fruit to a starving man.

He works with almost all women and 1 other man. I would love to be able to do something different for him, its just hard from 3000+ miles away.I will look into some of the other ideas though so thanks for those.
