This trip we are traveling with two of our children who are not of drinking age.

With the Fantasmic Dining Plan, can my wife and I each have 2 alcoholic beverages? The kids would have water or we would buy them a soft drink ala carte.

Has anyone come across this? Thanks!

Probably depends on the restaurant and server. Unfortunately, the way it’s written on Disney’s website it seems to be one bev per guest is included in the price.

I read they will allow if it's Disney adult children (like above age 10). If parents order the 4 meals and get 4 adult beverages plus buy a couple bottles of water. I read that it works. If it's 2 children dining plans (under age 10) then no. That's at QS. Now TS, it's up to server.

Good point and a new wrinkle, lol. I assumed it was a cash purchase not on the DP.

Really, they don’t ask for proof at counter service? So a 21 YO could go with 3 under age friends, order & pick up alcohol for all of them? Seems strange.

From my experience 1 person of legal drinking age can order 2 alcoholic beverages with ID at a QS location.
So in theory yes someone could purchase alcohol and then illegally give it to someone underage but no they couldn't just walk up and buy 4 alcoholic beverages and not show ID.

Not regarding TS since everyone is present there, but in general:

iirc WDW has a policy an adult over 21 cannot order more than 2 alcohol beverages at once. So if Dad went down to the resort QS to use 4 nDDP credits for his family and bring 4 lunches back to the room, he could only pick-up 2 alcohol drinks with his 1 ID. Doesn’t matter the ages of the DDP credit holders. I think we’ve run into this at Epcot foodbooths as well. One of us ordered drinks while the others went to different booths for food, but one adult can only buy 2 alcohol beverages at a time.

Am I not remembering this correctly?

This is Fantasmic Dinner Package so sit down restaurant. Kids are 16 and 12

When we’ve been at TS restaurants, the bill has each diner’s whole order listed separately . Ex. Diner 1 app, entree, beverage. Diner 2 app, entree, beverage etc. So the alcoholic beverage would have to be listed as ordered for each person. I’m not sure a server would risk putting in an alcohol order for a minor, even if it’s just a technicality.

ALso, I know some people who did this...yes. 21 year old ordered and brought back 2 drinks to give 1 to under 21. At QS, not TS.

Yes which is ILLEGAL and sounds to me like you're encouraging that type of behavior.
Not at all!!! It was people I know but I, absolutely, side eyed it. No way would I want to risk getting bounced and blacklisted from WDW. Not to mention giving drinks to underaged folks. Just saying people do do it. Eeek.

But I don't see why 2 adult parents can't get the drinks in place of their 10-20 year olds. They are paying adult dining plan pricing which includes the adult drink so why not get them. Dining plans (and all Disney stuff) is so so over priced. Why not partake in a one up loop-hole over the mouse?

In general, I don’t think a TS server would risk it. But you could ask. They also make fancy non alcoholic drinks that ramp up the price and feels like more value. And you can amass a large collection of glow cubes.

Just got back about 3 weeks ago and the way it worked is like described above:
Quick Serve meals - Someone above 21 could get 2 drinks and who the meals were for was not monitored so I got a few drinks extra thanks to my Sons under 21 yet Adult Disney meal entitlements.
Table Service- was not allowed (0 successful attempts at 5 restaurants- I would have stopped after the first decline but the friends we went with kept trying), in fact our friends husband doesn't drink and ordered an extra drink for his wife- they had wanted to charge her for that extra drink because he handed it over to her.
Like all things your mileage might vary, but it was rather plain to see table service handles Alcohol distribution a little different than quick serve.

Generally no, Disney will give everyone their included drink, and you can't transfer them. It's kind of dumb, and a big reason why I would avoid the dining plan if you're travelling with kids between ages 11 and 20. They pay adult prices but can't get the most expensive items on the package.

Too bad they don’t also have a dining plan that excludes alcohol. Plenty of adults don’t drink either. They could easily make a plan that doesn’t have alcohol & an up charge for 1 that does.
