So my wife and I booked a room at the French Quarter to take our 1-year old son from December 15th to 22nd. We had a pin code to use to get free dining. After booking, we realized that going Sunday to Sunday will cause her to use 4 vacation days. (She's a nurse, works 3 12s a week, weekends plus one weekday.) If we switch to the 12th to 19th, she only has to use two vacation days and since she's knew at the hospital and each day used is 2 hours, this would be huge. BUT.....our offer is only good the 15th to the 22nd. No problem, we'll just use the regular free dining offer, but.....that doesn't include the FQ. We really wanted the FQ 'cause with the size of the resort, the just one bus pickup, we thought it was the best moderate with such a young child. Any suggestions on how we can make this work??

Your only options are to choose one or the other. There's no way around that. If you have to switch dates you'll need to change resorts. If you have to have pofq you'll need to keep your dates.

I think you'll be fine anywhere with a 1 year old. Pofq is just smaller. It that's about it. You'll have to figure out which is more important to you guys and go from there.

If you could book a preferred room at another resort you wouldn't have to far to walk to the main buildings and it isn't that more money. We always stay at POR in a preferred room and love it. The buildings are only 1 minute from the main building and bus station.
