Just wondering which sushi restaurant is everyone's favorite pick? California Grill or Tempura Kiku at the Japanese exhibit in EPCOT (or is there another that I don't know about)? My husband likes sushi a lot and I'd like to take him to the best spot in WDW. Thanks for the help!

Am told that Kimonos in the Swan is the best sushi in the "world." I haven't had the opportunity to eat sushi at Disney though, so I'm working off hearsay and rumor.

California Grill has great sushi. Wolfgang Puck's also has great sushi! I haven't had Kimono's sushi though it's generally regarded as very high quality.

Havent tried Cal Grill sushi, but the Tempora kiku has wonderful sushi.

We have tried the California Grill sushi bar, awesome! :) It's also fun to sit at the bar and watch them make the sushi! The sushi at Wulfgang Pucks was not bad either.

Thanks to all who replied - now it's decision time! YIKES!!! Too many fabulous choices. Maybe we'll have to restaurant hop. . .

DH and I really liked the sushi at Wolfgang Puck's Cafe and at California Grill. We also like to take a snack-break at the Matsunoma Lounge in Japan at Epcot (though not the quality of the other places I mentioned, it is good).

We plan to hit Kimono's on our next trip, because I have read great things about their sushi, too! Plus, I want to see the Kareoke in action! :teeth:

Enjoy!

My vote goes to Kimonos--plus the karaoke is great!

I'd probably put it as a tie for Kimonos and Cali Grill. :) Can't lose with either of them!!! Enjoy!

Here are some pictures of the sushi at CG. One night we sat at a table and one night at the Sushi bar!

CG Pictures!

there are a large number of Japanese tourists that stay at the Swan so I would imagine that Kimonos would be pretty good. Have had sushi at CG and Matsunoma Lounge and they were both fine.

Is there anywhere that you can get sushi at counter service? With 2 little ones, it is easier for us to either eat outside, or not in a restaurant. We usually get it at the grocery store here when we need our fix and eat it at home. Thanks!!

Colexi's mom,
I have read that Yakatori House in Epcot has sushi. Good luck!

I have had sushi at Cali Grill, Kimono's Wolfgang Puck's and at the sushi bar in Epcot.

The sushi at and CG was the best - some of the best I have had anywhere! It is also so much fun being up at the top of the Contemporary, especially when the MK fireworks are going off! The sushi at Kimono's was top notch as well. We enjoyed the sushi Epcot too, but the best overall experience was Cali Grill, hands down, especially if you are into wine.

We had sushi at Wolfgang Pucks twice. The first time, it was fantastic, but the second time wasn't so great. There was one piece of shrimp that smelled like a combo of mold and ammonia. It was just not fresh. I think that, along with the reaction of the manager ("you are the first one ever to complain about our sushi!") totally turned me off the whole place. I mean, come on, everyone knows that when shrimp smells like that, its bad! Our first experience was so good though, that I am willing to say it was probably an isolated incident.
