I'm well aware of the what the tags say. The instructions are referring to the fact the tags come 2 together and you need to separate them to use them, lengthwise, down the middle.

But you're welcome to rip them in half sideways and see how well it works for you.

I do not believe that I am wrong. Didn't you read the post by WillAustin?

"Just FYI, on the back of the luggage tags, the first item in the instructions reads:

1. Separate at the center perforation to create two single luggage tags."

I also read about this in another forum here. When you get your next set of tags, you might want to look on the back of them and then you can PM me with your apology.

I am looking at a tag right now. The tags used to always come in sets of two, but now they sometimes separate them - that may be where your confusion is coming from.

If you have a piece that is about 4 inches wide and 16 inches long you should separate each one lengthwise into two 2 inch wide strips. Each individual tag is about 2 inches wide and 16 inches long. If your tags came already separated, then you should not do anything to them. Each tag also has a portion of the backing that is to be removed on each end so that when you wrap the tag around the handle you stick both sticky portions to each other. They go on like airline luggage tags.

Look again at the picture I posted earlier - that is 4 tags, not 8.
