Question for Recent Brides

I want to be discreet because don't ruin the surprise for other people. But, have any recent brides received the special gift from their planner?

i've heard that not everyone gets that gift, i heard that it depends on your planner...

That's kind of what I've heard too. I was just curious though because I've noticed that I haven't heard any one mention it recently.

It's my understanding that they stopped doing that about a year ago. Some brides may have gotten them as they "got rid" of the stock they already had, but I'm guessing they're out of them by now.

Do Wishes brides get the annual passes? When do they give them to you? I was planning to buy my tickets, so this would save me a lot of money if I don't have to worry about them.



I hadn't heard that the other present was discontinued.. how disappointing! I was going to keep it a secret from my dbf, but now it doesn't matter.

I think those were originally given out as "the" gift...when they added the AP's that was the "new" gift (and the other was/is phasing out).

I'm guessing it became a cost issue. Those *items* were nice, felt expensive and certainly were an added cost to Disney (since they were/are exclusive).

But an AP...well, heck, they can give those away for the cost of the paper/plastic they are printed on!

Yes, now all couples get annual passes. We were sent our vouchers when we signed our contract and mailed in our deposit.

I don't know how accurate that is. We got ours 6 months ago and a friend who got married a couple weeks ago got it as well. We had different planners

we're having an Intimate/Escape and I really want the 'gift' as AP is no good to us over here, so a couple of weeks ago I emailed my planner (Kathleen) to ask and she said we would get the 'gift'. Our VR is next month (Dec 13th) so I'll let you know after Christmas.
