Question for packing cube fans!

What is the main benefit to the packing cubes? I am trying to talk myself into them, but don’t want to buy them just to buy them. We drive to the port, so space really is not an issue for us. My kids each take their own suitcase, so I dont need to organize their clothes. What am I missing?

I really like how easy it is to unpack, how the clothes stay folded, and because they are organized, it is really find exactly what you are looking for. When we do a split stay, it is helpful because I can just take out the cubes packed for that part of our vacation and it doesn't take up much space in the room. On our cruise, it was nice to store the cubes in the cabinets and on the open shelves.
