Question for "new" Dvc members.. :)

I have a question and member services is closed. So I thought I would give it a try here.. I was wondering how many points I actually have.. I have a December use year and our deed will be filed in August. Do I get points for the 2004-2005 year...and 2005-2006...Do I have 150 points now from 2004-2005 and will I get an additional 150 points this December 2005-2006? I am confused about how this all works.. Thanks for any help!

It depends...did you buy a resale or directly through Disney? Also, did you take advantage of any promotions, if you bought direct from Disney, that they may have offered, like selling back your first years worth of poins for a discounted purchase price?

I bought directly from WDW... I am not sure about the sell back of first years points.. I guess I need to get out the contract and read it more carefully! Thanks!

If you bought SSR, you may have bought into a building that is not yet complete. So chances are your first points are 2005, which would be 12/01/05 to 11/30/06.

There were some 2004 December points in Disney inventory when my brother was looking to buy in late May so it could be '04 Dec contract that you have. There should be clause in your contract about when you'll receive your points allocation.

We have a Dec 04 use year and got 200 points until Dec 05 then 200 more dec 05. I banked most of the point right away except for a short trip to HH in Sept. There was no dues until 12/05. We settled in june.
