Question for Moms about Moms (or for Dads too)

You know how when you were younger there were those phrases or things that your mom or dad said or did that you said you would never do? Well, I'm just wondering if, now that you have your own kids, you find yourself doing or saying things that annoyed you about your parents? Or, are there certain things that no matter what you'd never do?

For example, I remember when I was around 10, my mom read my diary, and although there was nothing more exciting in than what I had for dinner, or who 'liked' who, it bothered me. (Obviously, since I still remember it). Anyway, no matter how tempting it may be, when my DD gets older, if she has a diary, there is no way I would ever read it. Anyone have any stories?

I will never become more involved in my child's activities than my child is. My mom always was the head of whatever I was in, Camp Fire board member, PTA pres., etc. I couldn't get away from her!;) I know it was a good thing but it took up her time with me, she was always at a meeting.

I know my mom was so busy trying to have me and my sister equal that she forgot to be fair. I was three years older and everything I got, she got. I didn't get any privledges unless she got it too.
My sister got to wear my favorite clothes, and she came home with it ruined.
I really didn't like it at all.

I make sure I don't do this.

I'd be proud to have someone say I was like my Mom. She was a farm wife and co-business partner with my dad AND raised us 14 kids.

What a woman!!!!
