I am having the hardest time getting through to MS this past week! Is this due to the fact that people are at the 11 month priority window for december?? I know this is a busy DVC time....In the past, I have never waited very long to speak with a vacation advisor, never more than 5-6 minutes...Unless they are just understaffed? Not complaining, just not used to it. I guess I have been lucky? :confused3

Possibly some has to do with high demand for early December but I am guessing delays are also being caused because of problems they have been having with new computer systems.

Could phone wait times be influenced by weather systems? Are more folks sitting at home today (office "snow day") entertaining Orlando thoughts?

Perhaps they are calling because they can't get to WDW due to the weather.

I had the same experience today and also thought it was unusual. And I wasn't trying to make reservations, just renew my AP. But I think your supposition for the reason is correct.

December is a busy DVC time and there are more members trying to book. With every sale the wait time and competition for popular rooms, resorts, and seasons will get worse.

MS is currently running at full capacity with managers and support staff also manning the phones.

I called several times on Saturday and hung up after being on hold for over 10 minutes each time. That has never happened.

It took me over 2 hours, calling on and off, to get through with only about a 6 minute wait.

Now, I did call on Monday and I got through in just a few minutes.

I called Monday, and was randomly selected for a survey. (I always say yes because I get right through) I still had a wait time of 5 or so minutes. I generally try not to call on Mondays though.

I have recently taken to calling in the late afternoon, like between 4-5 pm, and my wait has been much shorter.

Oh, interesting tip! I've quit doing the surveys and had a wait of 20+ minutes today. I'll try that survey next time -- thx!

I had no problem getting thru on Saturday.

I waited 35 minutes on Saturday only to find out that they have already booked all of the allotted staterooms on the cruise I wanted to book! Then when I called DCL, the wait time was over 47 minutes, I hung up and called back tonight.

I called twice today between 9 and 10 EST, and I never waited more than a couple minutes.

I called today about 3:45 and was on hold for about 15 minutes. Then I was on the line with MS until about 4:25. Had a slight problem that they were able to fix.

I dont think thi is unusal I have been a member since 1992 and more than once I had to wait for a long time. Whatever the reason it bad when you are only calling to ask a question about availabilty and the call takes only a min.
