Question for January Brides....

...If you did a MK photo shoot, what was the daylight like?

I am looking at a January wedding and MK shoot and would just like to know where the sun is. I looked up the sunrise time, and it was 7:18am. Is there a way to schedule the shoot so I could get at least a few shots toward the end with light (I'm not very good at judging sunrise versus the amount of light)?

I would prefer pictures with a bit of natural sunlight instead of just dark MK pictures, but if that's not possible, I'd like to be prepared.

we were married on 1/17/10. our photographer picked us up around 5:45 and brought us over to the MK. Some pictures were before the sun came up, some we AS the sun came up and a few were in the soft light you get just after dawn.

When you schedule it, tell you planner your concerns and they'll give you the latest shoot possible, which is the one we had I think!

I think you may get some pictures as the sun is coming up and few with the soft light of the first sun if you choose the 6am time slot. I know my cousin (a photographer) always tells me that the soft light of sunrise or sunset is the best for pics so you should get perfect light.
