How long would it take to golf the Palm course in December with a 10:30 tee time? Would you think my golfers would be able to be at Kidani Village by 4 with that tee time? Trying to schedule a family event at Kidani at 4pm and be at Disney Springs by 5:30, and I don't want the golfers in the family to miss out. Thanks!

Well, I guess it depends on how good of golfers they are. It would take me 5 hours on most courses because I suck. Normally, you go with about a 4 hour block for 18. What kind of transportation are they using?

theoretically, yes. It of course depends on the amount of players on the course that morning and the ability of the golfers in question, but it should be a 5 hour round at the longest which gets them out of there by 3:30. If they have their own car they should be able to quickly get out and down the road to Kidani, though not sure if you can complete the event and get to the Springs cleaned up by 5:30.

Good luck and have fun!

Thanks so much for the quick responses! They will be driving themselves to and from the course. One of them is an excellent golfer, the other is average and going mainly for the experience. Our event at the hotel is a gift exchange game with 13 people, so it sounds like it might be cutting it close with our timing. However, I'm going to plan it and hope for the best. Thanks, again!

If they're just a party of 2, that should speed things up too. I'm not sure if Disney fills in and will put them with 2 strangers though to make a 4-some.

Yes, we were thinking that they would likely get put with other golfers. It would be nice if they were on their own, though!

When I lived in Orlando, we figured on 6 hours anytime we played Disney. There are lots of folks playing with rented clubs and everyone wants to play the tips. I wouldn't bet on them being done in time.

If you're staying on property bell services at your resort gives you a voucher for a free cab ride to/from the hotel/course. Most times my DH has golfed at Disney (3-4x per year) they send him out with another person or two but as a twosome if its not a busy time of day they may go out as a twosome. Enjoy!

You should allot them a 4 hour, 45 minute slot for golf. There is a general "pace of play" that most people follow in terms of golf etiquette, but as we all know Disney doesn't always enforce the rules on their property. That said, if they can get an earlier tee time, it'll likely be played at a quicker pace. As the day progresses and more people are on the course, there's more likelihood that the pace of play slows down. As an example, we've had the first tee time of the day and been off the course in under 4 hours -- sometimes as quick as 3.5 hours.

A 10:30am start MAY be cutting it a little close seeing as you'll have to calculate in what will likely be a 20 minute drive from the Palm to AKL.

So. I'm a woman and my perspective may be different. On our own (husband and self) 4 hours. Paired up with others about 4.5 hours. Even at that, in the Florida sun on a golf course all day, I sure would want to shower before running off to a family event.

Yes, it really is a good idea for me to allow more time! Thanks for the input!

Thanks! I read that and wondered if that would be better for them than driving.

I appreciate the advice! Since I'm not a golfer, I don't completely understand the flow of the course. I'm hoping for the shorter time, but I don't want them to feel rushed or be watching the time instead of enjoying the game!

After all the input, I'm going to ask if they can move their tee time earlier to be on the safe side!

Agree with most of the above posters that play on a resort course like the Palm will probably take you 5 hours.
