Puttering online today, dreaming about our trip in December. We're also starting to look into our airfare options.
Quick question for those who have done the Galapagos ABD: Was the weather and hotel in Quito such that it would be comfy to hang out and relax on a post day?
I know those who have done the post days would advocate for more touring, but here's what we're thinking - when the ABD wraps up, it will still be fairly early into Christmas break, and we'll have been going non-stop for weeks to get ready to be gone and then doing the actual trip itself. One way or another, we'll be looking for some down time.
One option will be to fly back to Miami and hang out there, but honestly the post nights at the ABD hotel are a better value. Plus, flying home a day or two later is way cheaper than flying right after Christmas. (enough to pay for the extra days) The pool pictures look inviting, but the ABD website lists average temps as chilly. Any thoughts?
And is there anything else I should be thinking about this early?
TIA!
