Question for Ebay users

I'm a first time ebay user and won my item on Thursday night.
When it came time for payment I clicked on credit card thinking that prompts would come up asking me for my credit card number ect., they did not I have e mailed the seller asking him how he would like to be paid, I also told him I was a first time e bay user asking him for his help in the matter. At this point I do not want to just send him my credit card number and I do not know who to make a check out to. As of this morning I have not heard from him. Any ideas or suggestions?

Does he accept PAYPAL? If so, if I were you I would sign up for a paypal account and pay him that way.

Definatly sign up for Paypal. I have ebayed forever and Paypal is wonderful!

just go to www.paypal.com you can put your credit card information and your checking information in.

I set up a pay pal account also. I have also used Money Orders. takes a little longer but that worked fine too.

Unless they specifically ask for money orders, I always use Paypal.

Definitely do NOT send your CC# via email to the seller. If you return to the page that the item is listed under on eBay you will be able to click on a "Pay Instantly" button from Paypal if the seller uses that service (which they should!) and if not, you should be able to see the types of payment the seller does accept. If it is a money order, you should be able to access the seller's address to send payment, or he/she will send you that info. You should hear from the seller by today.

I did try to change my method of payment but it won't let me. The seller does take personal check but I don't know who to make it out to.
