Question for Droid Incredible owners

My ipod touch died and I can't really get another one rigt now because I desperately need a new phone. I'm looking at the Droid Incredible, would love to have an iphone but can't switch carriers.

My question is, can you use your incredible like the itouch as far as music and movies? I watch alot of movies on my touch while waiting for the kids at practice and such. How hard is it to put movies and music on the incredible and how is the playback?

Also, is it as easy to use at the iphone/itouch platform? I'm an idiot when it comes to gizmos. My old phone died an early death in and unfortunate toilet bowl accident and I got an old Palm Treo to hold me over until I could renew. I can't figure out how to use the stupid thing. Had it for months now and still can't sync even sync! LOL

If you love to watch movies and have Verizon that one is probably your best bet.
BUT be aware that with a 3 G network you won't be able to stream video in High Definition or movies.

So you would be able to watch movies that you drag onto your phone from your computer.

The big movie phone is on Sprint - the EVO 4G. It runs off of Sprints 4G network, and has a very nice download speed. It's faster than our home network! around 6 MBPS. That's fast.

But we're on Verizon here just because. My son loves his droid eris, and has heard very good things about the Incredible. It's an extremely fast phone, one of the most powerful ever created, alongside the EVO 4G. Either one is a safe and excelent choice, and will definitely show that the iPhone is dated hardware.

Also, sync wise, there is a computer application called DoubleTwist. Google it! It's just like iTunes, but for every other device. Once you plug in your phone to your computer, it will automatically sync everything, just like iTunes. Plus, it has organizing capabilities.

Movie wise, the EVO 4G is your best bet, as it does have the largest screen of any smartphone device. It's a fantastic choice if that's what you're using it for. The Incredible also has a nice screen too however. Just a little bit smaller.

A word of advice though: Always try the phone out before you buy it. It's a fantastic idea to do this. Don't go buy a phone off of someone elses experience, it's definitely not a good idea to do that. Make sure it works for YOU.

I've seen the Evo and would love it but I have 3 phones on my Verizon account and two of them will be under contract for another year, so switching carriers isn't an option. I just don't want to get a phone that I won't be able to figure out. LOL

My movies are on my computer in mp4 format. I could just drag and drop them to the Incredible? Is the playback good? Don't need hi def, just need it to be watchable.
