Hi -- this question is for you Disney experts/regulars, or anyone else who would know.

We will have FIVE days to spend in Disneyworld. We do not want to go to any water parks. We plan to do this:

1 day in MK
1 day in Epcot
1 day in MGM
1 day in AK

And we were going to save the 5th day for whichever park we did not see enough of.

In your opinion, WHICH park do you think we should go back to for a second day? Which one has more things and may take longer to see it all??? thanx for any opinions.

A lot depends on when you are visiting and how your group is made up. Those with younger children tend to spend more time in MK. I, myself, spend one morning in AK, especially during the summer as it can be very hot there. If you are going to be in Orlando during the summer, you might want to break up your days with a break mid-day. This works quite well if you are staying on-site. A swim and a rest can do wonders during the heat/humidity of summer. I would tend to do whatever order you wanted to do to begin with. I would visit AK towards the end and spend the morning there and move over to a park that you liked for the afternoon/evening. Then on the last day you can do whatever park you wish. I've actually done 3 parks in one morning in order to hit the 'attractions' that I really like. I don't recommend it if you have young kids tho!! Try to have one sit-down meal a day. That way you know you're getting something nutritious at some point. My schedule if I only had 5 days....

Day 1....MK
Day 2....MGM
Day 3...Epcot
Day 4...AK then over to Epcot
Day 5...MK

The only park that I tend to spend just one day in is MGM. Epcot I love to take my time in, especially WS. But, it's just myself, dh and my almost 11 y/o dd!

If you are staying on site this is what I would do go to each park like you are doing, but don't go to early entry. You can't even imagine how fast the parks fill up. If you are planning a character breakfast (I think MK- Crystal Palace or AK- Donaldsaurus (I can't remember the name of the place its something like that)), I would pick an early one so you are there before the park opens on a non-early entry day. You get a little jump on the crowd. Then on the last day I would go to MK for the early entry ride your favs. We plan on skipping fantasy land the first day in the park and head to splash mountain right away when the park opens. On the second MK day we get there on a early entry day ride all the rides in fantasy land no lines then ready ourselves to be at the rope to ride splash mountain or space mountain if you prefer ( even though its early entry they usually don't open Adventureland or Tomorowland until scheduled park times) then LEAVE THE PARK!!!! Go to visit your favorite park at that point, it will be way to busy to spend any more time in MK, but yet you were able to visit a little while on another day and do your favs again, and spend the rest of the day relaxed in another park. Although if you rushed through Main street you could spend some time there, usually everyone rushes through in the morning and comes back in the afternoon. However, We plan on going to Epcot, I made reservations for the Icecream Social for 2:50 then we are leaving that Epcot and going to MGM for the parade. Since we will be missing the parade at MGM on the first day (it's at 5:30 and it will be to long to spend at MGM from opening to 5:30) It sounds like a hetic day, but its our last day in the parks and I want to make sure we catch all our favorites agian, plus we have it scheduled that we are leaving the next morning and we are driving the kids can sleep then:teeth:
I hope this helps you!!!

Consider splitting several days between parks. MK can get packed mid day, so I ususally use epcott as my afternoon/evening park since it is so big it doesn;t have the same crowded feel. SO you may want to think in 1/2 days instead of full days at the parks. In that case, I'd say spend your extra time between MK(so many things there in addition to the rides) and Epcott( it is just a huge place with lots of good places to eat)

I split parks and also do a Disney Quest day. Here's my schedule for July, we usually only always go for 5 days.

Sunday-EMH Magic Kingdom
PM-Break
Evening-- EPCOT--Dinner at Biergarten, walk around countries, Illuminations

Monday--AM--go to Typhoon Lagoon for Shark Reef
Late morning--to Disney Quest
Evening---MGM---Early dinner at Hollywood and Vine, do some rides and Fantasmic

Tuesday---EMH--MGM (finish rides and shows)
PM-break
Evening---Chef Mickey dinner---MK (do whatever) and Spectromagic and Wishes

Wednesday---EMH---EPCOT
PM--Break
Evening---O'hana's dinner and then free to do what we want

Thursday---AK
pm--start home

What I do is read all the "historical" stuff. I use EMH, and then for the night time show, I go to the park with the "historically" low attendance for that day of the week. I always do DisneyQuest and water park early in the week also, as that is when "historically" it's less busy. If I have to do a park at "regular opening", I go to the one "historically" less crowded that day of the week.

It would be nice to know what day of the week your arrival day (#1) is on. That would be helpful.

renessa - the dates we will be going to the parks are: Friday, Nov. 19th thru Tuesday Nov. 23rd. These are the ages in our group: 44, 43, 27, 24, 16, 14. Not interested in any meals with the characters, or kiddie stuff, or water parks. We want to see as much as we can in the 5 days we have - in MK, Epcot, MGM, and AK. Thanks for any additional info, and thanx to those who have already given info/suggetions. :earsboy:

With the ages of the people in your group, I don't know if you'd need two days in MK. There are some "fun" rides for adults, but we feel allot of MK is geared towards kids. AK, like you've noted will not take a whole day and much will also not be of allot of interest to your aged group.

For the ages in your group, MGM and EPCOT will definitely have more to offer. Also, don't forget Disney Quest, shopping at DD Marketplace, checking out the Boardwalk. If your teen-agers are boys they may like the ESPN Club. There's also the Comedy Club at PI.

thanks eeyore. everyone here is so helpful! can you tell me about the "Disney Quest, shopping at DD Marketplace, Boardwalk, and ESPN Club". Are these free and included with the park hopper pass admissions? And where are they located? Thanx :earsboy:

Disney QUEST is in Downtown Disney ("DD"), and a separate admission is required (about $30-$35), although I think it's included if you have a length-of-stay pass. The simplest explanation is that it is a HUGE (I believe 5-story) arcade with some very high tech games, some of which are even like mini-rides. They have something where you can design your own roller coaster, then "ride" it. If you've seen or heard of Dave and Busters or Game Works, I guess you could kind of relate it to that, but bigger and better.

DD Marketplace is an area of Downtown Disney which contains lots of great shops, including a World of Disney Store, and some restaurants. I always make it a point to visit here, and I often visit it several times. It's a great place just to walk around, and it's right on a water front. You could even rent a boat from here if you wanted to!

Pleasure Island is also located in the DD area and requires a separate admission at night (but it might be included depending on the type of pass you have). It consists mostly of clubs, but there are a few restaurants and shops.

The ESPN Club is on the Boardwalk, which consists of clubs, restaurants, and I think a few shops. The Boardwalk Hotel is located there, and you can get to it by walking out the "side" entrance (I believe it's called the International Gateway) of EPCOT. The Yacht Club and Beach Club hotel are also located in this general area. The ESPN Club also has games that are very entertaining for all ages (but the kids I'm sure will especially enjoy it).

Don't plan anything. Wait and see which parks you have things you still want to do at and visit them. You may see all of Animal Kingdom in one day. Follow your heart as what you still want to do on Day 5.
