I woke from a nap and have a blood sugar reading of 78 but am not shaking which I have done in the past when my sugar hit around 90. Any ideas why? Thanks.

When I had gestational diabetes my super drops were usually when I had nuts. Those actually brought my sugar lower than the Glyburide I took. Maybe you ate something that does that for you?

maybe you have been under better control. honestly 90 should not make you symptomatic inless you routinely run very high !

Normal blood sugar ranges from 80 - 120, I sometimes start shaking/sweating in the 70's or 80's sometimes my body shows no symptoms until I'm in the 50's, it is different each time, I have no idea why, maybe it depends on what we have eaten before it started gett lower?? I don't know.

There are many different symptoms of low blood sugar and some are hard to recognize - especially when your sugar is low!! After 30+ years of diabetes, I still don't always recognize them. Also, sometimes you can feel "low" when your sugar is dropping, that may explain the 90 feeling...HTH. Good luck!

Maybe it is because I've been doing better at watching my sugar - eating better, exercising, etc - I used to test at 140+ in the morning - lately it's been between 90-100.
