My husband got me the book Brother Odd. If I am correct, this is the third book in a series about the same character, right? I haven't read the other two books. So, would it be okay to read them out of order, or will I miss something?

I believe there was one called Odd Thomas, wasn't it?

The order is:

Odd Thomas
Forever Odd
Brother Odd

They could be read out of order, the basic stories are different however he does refer to past books/events often and it would help to know what he is talking about.

Saw that no one else had posted, thought about this later and wanted to warn you that there are spoilers in the 3rd book so although it would be okay to read first you'll find out somethings that happen in the previous books and would ruin some of the suspense in those if you read them later.

I've only read Odd Thomas so far, which was a GREAT book. I would read that one first.

Did you ever read Intensity? Wow. I love Dean Koontz. :scared1:

Love Dean Koontz, but haven't read any in a while. My favorite is Lightning. Hmmm, time to go find that box in the garage and pull all those books out..

I read Forever Odd first, and now I basically know what happens in Odd Thomas. I would suggest starting with the first. Good book, though!!
