Question for Cast Members

What do you like people to do to recognize you for outstanding service?

I gave out CM appreciation cards last trip - but does that really mean anything to you?

I would like to do something for CM that they really appreciate and means a lot to them so your input would be great!!

I did write a letter about one OUTSTANDING CM that is going to be in the Main Street Diary but I know that is rare -

so what can I do when I am standing there with you to let you know you made our day?

We carry "What would Walt Do?" pins, which we give to outstanding cast members. We make sure to get their name and where they worked to register on http://whatwouldwaltdo.com/ website where you normally buy the pins.

Unfortunately looking at their website when I went to write this post, it seems they have been hit by hackers and never got it back up.

I can't find where you can get the WWWD pins and at 5 bucks a pop - that is more than I want to spend!

Did you try writing to WDW Guest Communications? PM me if you need the address or email address. Writing them usually gets fast results and the CMs do get recognition, I've written them 2x and got a phone call back from a higher up about how happy they were that I wrote.

Replying as a Cast Member in Attractions at Epcot, a written communication to Disney about your special moment would be most appreciated and would become a part of the Cast Member's permanent record.

If you happen to be standing right next to me just let me know how you feel. You would probably get a hug from me, too. I received a Cast Member Appreciation card last Feb. from a family in Fairfield, Ct. and can tell you it was most appreciated. Saved it with all my special memories from working at Disney.

I was going to bring some CM Thank you cards for our upcoming trip, but then I was re-thinking this because I thought Cm's might find them a little
"dorky." But then I think, it really would be nice to have something to show my appreciation? Not sure what to do. -- I'd be happy to write or call Disney too, but would like something for "on the spot" thank you's too.

I usually make business cards to take the parks that say "Thank you! Your extra Pixie Dust really made my WDW trip!" with a little clip art next to it with my name at the bottom and my trip dates. BTW I just became a CM on Tuesday!
