Question for anyone who has booked AAA....

I booked a package today with AAA for 2 rooms at the Polynesian. I had checked the prices before I booked so I would know what the rack rate was and wrote them down for both rooms. The AAA agent called back and spoke to my husband after she booked everything and he wrote all the numbers down. When I got home tonight I noticed that they only discounted me for one room and not the other, as the price quoted for room #1 was the exact rate quoted on the Disney site. It was after hours by then so I could not call back today. Has anyone ever had this happen before and if so were you able to get a price adjustment? I am worried that there will be no more discounts and I will have to pay rack rate for the first room. Also since I already told her to book it and I accepted the quote, am I stuck with that? The AAA discount is the only reason I booked through them as I also have the dining plan. I am going to call back tomorrow but this is bugging me so I thought I would ask.

Hmm interesting. I don't have an answer for you, but I'm interested to find out what happens, as we may be booking another ressie for my ILs and they're expecting the discount.

This would just be a guess, but I've been reading that the AAA discount rate is not available on all resorts at all times. Maybe if you ask Disney for the regular information and then ask them if there are any discounts or better deals available you will find out something. (BTW, that idea comes from Unofficial Guide--just to give credit where credit is due). If they say no, maybe just verify by asking, "Even with AAA?"

I called back today and inquired about the discount not being on and my agent called Disney back and they adjusted the quote to reflect the discount for my room. Just a reminder to people to always get a rack rate quote before you get a discounted rate quote so you know that you are indeed getting your discount, otherwise you would not know either way, especially with a package as they do not break everything down separately. It pays to pay attention.

How much discount do you get with AAA discount? I want to book the poly for a concierge room taking my parents for my dear dads 80th birthday at the end of January. I have never used AAA before. I am an AP holder but don't know if there will be any discounts...am still waiting for news for my October trip????

Don't they limit the number of rooms with a discount? Maybe you got lucky and got the last room at a discount and therefore the second room was full price?

It ended up being a bit over 300.00 per room for us. If you were to book concierge it would be a higher discount since the rooms are more expensive and also because you get a 15% discount during Value season.
