We are about to start planning our first DVC trip and I was just wondering about how much a Length Of Stay Pass is for 7 nights...anyone have any idea.?

Go to this web address: www.wdwinfo.com/wdwinfo/tickets.htm

I still haven't learned how to set up links. Sorry! Hope the web address is helpful. I just went on there yesterday to check out pretty much the same question you had.

Have fun planning your first DVC trip! :D

You are probably better off buying an annual pass or a 6-7 day PH pass with options. You can then plan two trips w/in 12 months or save any extra days you might have on a PH pass for another trip. I think I'm probably speaking for most (not all) WDW nuts when I say the general belief is that a LOS pass is not the smartest choice, particularly with a 7-night stay.

We also buy annual passes, but if you won't be back within a year and also want to go to the waterparks, Pleasure Island after 7 p.m., WWOS, and/or Disney Quest, the length of stay pass can be a good deal. DVC members get a 10% discount on LOS passes.

Let's say you drop off either the day of arrival or day of departure. An adult 7 day LOS with the DVC discount is $298.63. This ticket includes DQ, PI, WWOS and the waterparks. A 7 day park hopper with 4 plus options is $325.44. The plus options include PI, the waterparks and WWOS, but NOT DQ. The advantage to the park hopper is that unused days and plus options never expire.

The best pass depends on your family's touring plans.

Enjoy your first trip home!

Side Note: Travelbug, you did set up a link, you just didn't know it. If you enter a URL address into the text of your response, the system will recognize it and make it a link. Clicking on the addresss you entered takes the user there.

As for using the system software for making a link, simply click the 'http:// button. In the first box that comes up, enter any text to describe the link, such as Click Here. In the 2nd box that comes up, enter the actual URL address. And bingo, you've set up a link.

For the link that you used, you could do it like this.

To get to Pete Werner's DIS site for ticket information, Click Here

It's really pretty simple. Hope this helps you and anyone else who wanted to know how to do it.

Hey, thanks for the info, Caskbill! As you can tell, I had absolutely no clue. I appreciate your patience and the time you took to explain to me. Very thoughtful of you! :)

We always get LOS passes. We drop off the last day, since our flight is around noon time. When we arrive our first day, we can't wait to get into EPCOT, since we always stayed at Beach Club in the past, and now BWV. We go to the parks every day...that's why we're there. We also do Pleasure Island, Blizzard Beach and DisneyQuest whenever we feel like it (perhaps a couple of hours here and there), and we like not having to worry about allocating days and "plus's". And we only go to WDW once a year, and perhaps may skip a year and do a longer trip another year. So, LOS works well for us now. In the future, as we spend more time at WDW, we may branch out and explore more of the Orlando area, and other ticket options may make more sense (right now, we spend a few days at Universal before moving onsite at Disney).

CarolMN said it best..."The best pass depends on your family's touring plans."
