Question for all DISigners....

....Are there any images you would like to have more of? I know that a while back I saw that one of you requested cruise images from someone going on the cruise. I may not be able to help much, but I want to try to do something for all of you that do so much for others. I will be at WDW at the end of May. Unfortunately I will not be going on the cruise, but if there is any other way I may be of help I would like to. Just let me know...

How about offering to send postcards to children who are planning a trip to the world from Mickey or other characters. I have done that in the past and the children have been thrilled. I am sure there are some people on this board who have children (I don't) that would love to get a postcard from Mickey.

I've actually been a FairyGodmailer - As well as having had my DS be the recipient of a FairyGodmailer........... and I can tell you from BOTH sides of it how amazing and wonderful it is.

I also think that sometimes the little things we don't pay attention too make great "art" for DISigns........ if you see something unusual or of interest, take a pic - you never know who could use it or for what creation!!!

For example, letter head from the resorts would be awesome or ANYTHING from the golf courses if you get over that way....................... LOL


The best thing you can do though.................. have a wonderful time on your trip!!!

If I do this, shouldn't a character signature be at the bottom of the postcard? Is there a way to print out stickers of some signatures that I can use? Would this work? I can write in neat ways, but I can't accomplish Disney script. What has been done in the past? I am very interested...

I am not a DISigner - but a Mommy whose 2 little girls received a post card from Mickey and Pooh Bear.

They were totally excited that Mickey and Pooh Bear sent them a card - they did not notice the hand writing or signature. I don't think any child would notice. But maybe someone else has a tip on how to do a "real" sig.

As I wrote in a PM to the OP - you can do a general internet search for character signatures or autographs, then just copy them in your own hand.... they are pretty easy to do and they don't have to be exact!!!

If you want to get even more "creative" you can try writing in Mickey font if it's from him or minnie......... that font is really pretty easy!!

You are right, the kids won't care nor will they notice!!!

I will absolutely love to be a Fairy Godmailer, but I would still love to do something for the Disigners also. I wish I had Natalie's, Kellybell's, Joanna's... etc. address so I could send postcards from Mickey or other characters saying something like:

"Thank you for all your time, effort and creativity in helping all
my friends celebrate the time we spend
together."​

Great Idea. I had the hardest time finding clip art for some of the Character meals. I finally tracked it down, but it took a while. I am still waiting for a great picture of the front of AK DVC. As soon as it opens & someone gets a great picture, I am going to ask permission to use it.

Clip art - I need pictures for the following Star Wars characters and haven't been able to find them so if you have the time I would like Greedo, the Cantina Band, the Royal Guard & the Sand Troopers. Now the other thing, I have no idea what any of these characters look like.
So if you find even one of them, I will make the autograph card.

Penny - We won't be going "home" until Jan. but, I will get you a photo of Kidani - hopefully you won't have to wait that long though!!!

I want to try and track down all of the resorts stationary...... I've got some from the lodge, but haven't scanned and uploaded it yet - I just love it.. I only wish they'd give you more than one piece in your arrival packet...........

It' very sweet of you to offer this, and my humble request would be for the harder things to find, ie disney star wars characters, cruise characters in the sailor outfits, meal type characters like chefs, and the celbrate today logo stuff that is probably all over the place now! You'd be surprised what us disigners can do, with a nice close up picture of a sign or napkin. I am a logo collector, I like to have them to make things as authentic as possible. I love the fourparks one world idea. As you are very aware, so maybe an update version of that. Just take pictures of any logo or disign that you think we could use. Post cards and the scrapbook sections are great places to find that sort of stuff.
Again thanks for the offer, but please don't be searching or taking time out of your Disney fun to find these things for us. ENJOY YOUR MOTHER DAUGHTER CELEBRATION!

Thank you for the responses. Unfortunately, I do not know if I will see any of the SW characters. Neither of us is a big SW fan, so I am staying as far away from DHS as possible on the Sat. & Sun. we will be there. However, I love to resort hop and have plans to eat at a few diff. resorts. I will look for different and unique photo ops while doing so. And, "...Celebrate Today" signage is a given anyway. I like to incorporate whatever Disney's promo is into my scrapbook for memories sake.
What about Flower and Garden Festival stuff? I will be taking lots of pics at Epcot. I will just see what I come up with and share upon my return.
Another thought.... I am not a drinker, but would anyone like photos of different items for the "Drinking around the World" theme? I want to spend a good part of one day wondering around WS, so this would be an easy task.
Any other ideas welcome.

We are staying at AKL DVC in August, so I am on the prowl for a real great picture so I can make a shirt. I have found a few good ones on the net now that it is open. Thanks and have fun. P

OK.... I actually think this may be fun- like a scavenger hunt! Sailor Goofy and any other cruise designs may be found out a DVC kiosk, as advertisements. I will also definently have my eyes and imagination open for unique images.

Bababear, have you ever Googled Sailor Goofy? I just did and got quite a few pictures of sailor Goofy. They all have other people in them, but on some you may be able to cut around..... In fact, here are some I just found:
