Question for a Friend

1.How are the crowds going to be May 15 thru May 22?
2.Which waterpark with a 1 and 3 year old, or should they go at all with kids that age?

The youngest we've taken our own kids was age 5. DSis & BIL took theirs to BB during our Grand Gathering when they were 4 and 18mos and thought it was too much trouble - was easier and more fun just going to a park (Sis was 7 1/2 mos pregnant though too). So when the group of us went to TL they skipped it and did MK. I think it depends what you expect to get out of it yourselves and for the kids. You can all do the lazy river w/ a kid on each lap. You can do the little kid area. Can't really do any of the big slides unless both kids are in good, cooperative moods and one of you felt comfortable having both on your own. Your kids may have just as much fun at the hotel pool or in the fountains around WDW.

I would vote for Typhoon Lagoon. We took our 4 yr old nephew and 9 month old niece and they both loved TL. We have some of the cutest pics of my little niece from there. She really loved the lazy river and the fact that she didn't have to be in her stroller all day. Also the fact that we had a 2:1 ratio of grown ups to kids may have helped. We still got to do all the fun stuff and the kids were taken care of the whole time.

1.) I've never been the exact week you are talking about in May but I have been the week before and after and the crowds are average in my opinion .

2.) As far as the water park is concerned , I don't think either one is better for small children . They both have alot of things that are great for small children like kiddie slides , low water areas where kids can sit and sand for them to play in which my kids love. We always buy them a shovel and pail at the park for them to play with & the kiddie lunches at both park come in a bucket with shovel also for them to use. We've been taking DS5 since he was two , DD3 since she was 7 months old and DS2 since he was 3 months old , every year to the water park , hope this helps.
