Question: DAS at Disneyland with larger group

Quick question on DAS: We are visiting Disneyland for the first time in late June & using DAS. (Pre-registered this morning!) There are 9 people in my extended-family party but only one who qualifies for DAS. I was anticipating the 6-person limit, but was hoping we could alternate who will join my son on the rides on the app. Instead I was asked to formally add 5 people to the DAS account and told I could go to a kiosk to change riders as needed ... do you think we would need to do that ahead of every ride? Do the kiosks tend to have long lines? (Not sure if Rider Swap would apply since our group is mostly adults.)

Our whole group does have Genie+ so we could try to line up return times with the DAS group. However, am I right in assuming that Genie+ times might be a lot further out than what we could get on DAS?

I'm not sure about Disneyland, but WDW would allow you to add the addition party members to DAS at Guest Relations then you can choose which people are riding for each DAS Return Time.

We went in July 2021 and they put all 10 of us on the DAS pass. We really lucked out. I would go to someone when you get there and see what they do for you. We all never rode every ride. Three generations and I stressed that we would most likely never all get on. The guy was really nice.
