CRT charges your credit card when you book the meal, I know that already. However, DH and I may or may not get the dining plan for our July trip. If we do get it, we will be adding it after we make our ADRs. So, I know that they will charge my credit card for sure.

We will be a party of 10 at CRT. 4 of us might be on the dining plan and the other 6 definitely will not be on the dining plan. If DH and I decide to go with the dining plan, I know they will reimburse my credit card once we are there and take 2 TS credits out of our DDP from each of the 4 of us for the dinner. Do they give you a receipt stating that your credit card is credited the full amount of the dinners covered by the DDP credits? I am assuming I will have to hand them my credit card and then they would have me sign a receipt the same as when you return something to a store that was purchased on a credit card if you are receiving a refund.

What is the process with Disney for reimbursing the credit card? I am a bit skeptical about it, but I have no choice, I know that. Has anyone had problems not getting your money reimbursed on your credit card when using DDP credits?

In May of last year I made my CRT reservations before I booked my hotel package, which did include the DDP. So once I made my package reservation, i just called back and they reimbursed me for all seven of us, no problem. I saw it on my credit card statement before we even went.

I still would like to know if they give you a receipt that says you will receive a credit on your credit card for the amount originally charged when you made the ADR, if you decide to use DDP credits when you actually dine. I am already aware that you could do this, just want to know what they give you in writing when you go through this procedure, in case you add the dining plan AFTER making the ADR. Thanks!
