question...checking in early/dining plan

We will be checking into the OKW before noon, I understand our room may not be ready, but will I get the card at check in that I need for the dining plan? We want to be able to use the dining plan credits for lunch.

That's a great question and I'd love to see the answer. We're doing exactly the same thing in May -- checking in early and going to a character dinner that evening...probably before actually getting our room.

When I checked into OKW last December, we got our keys, but did not have the room number until we called for it after 4 PM. Maybe that's the answer.

If DVC hasn't thought of this issue, it would be helpful for us to give them a heads-up!

We arrived early last year and when we checked in were given our key to the world cards, which will have your dining credits and park tickets, unless you bought an AP. You can also activate the credit priviledge if you so deisre. Then you will be given a number to call later to see if you've been assigned a room yet.

I've used the room key to charge lunch before our room was ready, so the dining credits should be on there.
